Barry Greenstein
Often refered to as 'Robin Hood of Poker', Barry Greenstein gives all of his winnings from poker tournaments to charity. He has also authored the book Ace on the River in 2005.
Chris Moneymaker
The 2003 World Series of Poker champion, winning the first prize of US$2.5 million.
Dan Harrington
A very well known tournament player with live tournament winnings exceeding US$4,800,000 in 2006. Also runs several businesses and is a part time bankruptcy lawyer.
Daniel Alaei
A young professional poker player who has won a WSOP bracelet. In 2006 he also finished 59th in the World Series of Poker main event.
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu has won several WSOP bracelets and finished first in two WPT tournaments. He was awarded the Card Player Magazine player of the year in 2004 due to his great tournament winnings.
David Sklansky
David Sklansky is a well known poker player, he has also written several books on poker, blackjack and more. He is also the principal of Two Plus Two Publishing.
Doyle Brunson
Doyle is for sure the most well known poker player around. He is one of four that made back to back winnings at WSOP, (76-77). All together, Doyle has claimed 10 WSOP gold bracelets so far and the most recently in 2006.
Greg Raymer
Known as the fossilman for using a small fossil as card protector. Winner of the 2004 World Series of Poker.
Gus Hansen
Before Gus became a professional pokerplayer he was one of the world's top backgammon players. He tried to make a living from it, but he felt it was too hard, which led him to play poker instead.
Jamie Gold
Jamie lives in California, working as a television producer. In WSOP 2006 main event, he was the chip leader for the four last days and won the event later on, taking home $12.000.000 in prize money.
Jennifer Harman
Jennifer became a full time poker professional at the age of 21, and now she plays at the highest stakes at Bellagio, $4,000/$8,000. Jennifer is a big spokesman for poker, with appearances on some large shows.
John Juanda
John Juanda is a very successfull poker player, he has won a World Poker Open Championshhip title and three World Series of Poker titles
Johnny Chan
You can recognize Chan at the poker table with his special lucky charm, his “lucky orange”. He has won ten gold bracelets so far, and two of them are from winning back to back main events in 1987 and 1988.
Joseph Hachem
Joseph was the winner of WSOP 2005 main event, taking home the prize money of $7.500.000 and defeated over 5600 contestants. He is one of four non-American which have won the main event at World Series Of Poker.
Michael Mizrachi
Michael got his nickname “The Grinder” because of his solid, consistent playing style. He started study to become a doctor, but due to his success at the poker table he dropped out of the school to play poker for a living.
Mike Caro
Mike Caro is an authority of poker. He runs his own permanent poker school called Mike Caro University of Poker. He also works as an consultant for casinos to provide details about game odds.
Mike Matusow
The “Bad boy” of poker, known for his constantly trash talking and teasing his opponents to get them steaming, which has given him the nickname “The mouth”. Mike has been struggling is his personal life, including drugs and jail.
Phil Hellmuth
Very well known for his bad temper, he calls himself the poker brat. He is also one of the best tournament players.
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey is considered to be the best player in the world. He has won several bracelets in WSOP and got the first place in a Monte Carlo Millions tournament. Phil often spends time in Bellagio where he plays in The Big Game.
Phil Laak
Laak was born in Ireland but nowadays lives in California. His nickname throughout the poker rooms is “Unabomber” because of his tendency to wear shades and a hooded sweatshirt.
Sam Farha
Sam often plays with an unlit cigarette in his mouth, even though he is not a smoker. Farha's playing style is very aggressive and is feared in the poker circuit.
