Doyle Brunson
Doyle was born in 1933 in Longworth, Texas, he holds a MBA from Hardin-Simmons University, but he only had a regular job for a few weeks, before he turned to poker convinced that he would make a better living on that playing on the underground poker circuit in Texas.
He is married and has four children, on of the children, Todd Brunson is like his father, a well known poker pro.
He won world series of poker main event back to back in 1976-1977, only two other players have accomplished this as well, and he won both events with what has later been referred to as “a Doyle” as his last hand (10 2 off suit), all together he has 10 World Series of Poker bracelets (no one has more).

He is the author of the books Super Systems and Super Systems 2, which is often referred to as the bible of poker.
Doyle plays regular at the casino Bellagio with one of the highest stakes in the world.
Doyle, gus hansen and James Gardner are the first three persons who have been inducted to the Poker walk of Fame.
By winning the 2004 Legends of Poker World Poker Tour Event he proved that age is not a factor in poker. This win gave him $1,198,290 in what was the biggest ever WPT field at the time.
Doyle’s total winning so far is $4,654,912 and counting.
He has “created” his own hand, 10 2 off suit. This particular hand was the last hand in both World Series of Poker 1976-1977, who made him a winner, so this hand is often referred to as “a Doyle”.
