Joseph Hachem

Joseph HachemJoseph was born on March 11, 1966 in Lebanon. His family moved later on, in 1972 to Australia, where he later on met his high school sweetheart which he married and raised a family of four children with. It was the movie Rounders who introduced Joseph to the poker game, Texas Hold'em.

He worked in a chiropractic business, but due to a rare blood vessel disorder in his hands in 2000 he had to leave the business and began working as a mortgage broker and became a semi professional poker player as he played regular in Melbourne’s casinos and online at PokerStars.

His brother and cousin made a trip to Las Vegas 2005 and entered the world series of poker event 37, $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em with re-buys tournament held on July 4, where he placed 10th and earned $25,850.

This would later on seem like nothing, when he two weeks later won the main event, giving him $7.500.000 in prize money. He had to beat over 5600 contestants before taking home the grand prize.

He is one of four non-American which have won the main event at World Series Of Poker.

Nowadays, Joseph is a representative of PokerStars; this is giving him recourses to travel around the world playing the biggest international tournaments around.
