Sam Farha

Sam was born in Lebanon and immigrated to the US in 1977 when the civil war broke out. He began to study at University of Kansas and took later on a degree in Business Administration and after graduation he worked with his brother in Houston, Texas for one year.

After some time he got acquainted to poker, he became very successfully at it and in 1990 he had become a professional poker player.

A thing you can recognize Sam with, is that he always plays with an unlit cigarette in his mouth, even though he is not a smoker. When taken a bad beat he will usually change his “lucky” cigarette.

His biggest success so far at the poker table has to be his second place at 2003 year world series of poker main event, when he played heads up against chris moneymaker.
This second place gave him a WSOP gold bracelet and $1.300.000 in cash.

His best game is not in fact No limit Hold ‘em, Sam’s specialty is omaha cash games.

He is a very aggressive player who is feared in the poker circuit.

Currently he is working on a poker book which will have the title "Luck is Not Enough".
